楸树(Catalpa bungei G.A.Mey)因“花而不实”,扦插不易生根,至今仍以插根法为主要繁殖方法.但由于种根来源有限,使楸树的发展受到一定的限制.为此,我们从1980年2月开始,采用组织培养法繁殖楸树的研究,不久获得了大批由楸树休眠腋芽形成的试管苗.1981年4~7月又进行了楸树无根试管苗的扦插技术研究,亦获得了成功.我们先后用1000余株楸树无根试管苗作试验,扦插成活600余株.6月24日至7月20日,先后分三批移栽至苗圃地,现仍存活450余株.目前苗木长势良好,一般苗高70~100厘米,最高已达145厘米以上,最大地径2.4厘米.现将研究结果报道如下:
