目前,我国大部分地区是采用材积表或其他测树数表求算材积的。在资源清查中使用材积表有一定的局限性。另外,对阔叶林和混交林目前也没有适合的材积表。加之材积表的使用一般是针对林木群体而言,它不能保证对单株立木材积的精度。然而,在林业科研中,如良种选优调查、固定样地的连续观测和林分生长量调查,都要求精确测定部分单株立木材积
At present, most areas in China use volume tables or other tree-finding tables to calculate the volume. The use of volumetric tables in inventorying has some limitations. In addition, there is currently no suitable volume chart for broadleaf and mixed forests. Coupled with the use of volumetric tables generally for forest groups, it can not guarantee the accuracy of standing timber volume. However, in forestry research, such as the thorough investigation of elite varieties, the continuous observation of fixed plots and the investigation of stand growth, all require accurate determination of the stand volume per plant
