截止到2005年底,考试语种已从2003年底的英语扩大到现在英、法、日3个语种;英语二、三级口笔译考试已在全国推开,相应的翻译、助理翻译职称评审同时停止进行;英、法、日语历年累计报名总人数达到17704人次,累计通过考试总人数达到3973人次。2005年上、下半年英语二、三级两次考试,法、日语一次考试,报考人数大幅增加,超过2003、2004年历次考试的总和,三个语种共有10090人报名参加考试,实际参考人数达9473人,总计有2183人通过考试取得英、法、日语翻译专业资格(水平)二、三级口笔译证书。
