中国水墨动画可以说是中国动画史上的一个重大创举。和其他动画片所不同的是,水墨动画并没有轮廓线,水墨在宣纸上自然地晕化,浑然天成,角色的动作以及表情也优美灵动,泼墨山水的背景豪放壮丽,柔和的笔调极其充满诗意。它充分体现出中国画“似与不似间”的美学,意境非常深远。同时,还传承了儒家里所说的真、善、美,并且追求道家在哲学意义上的本质,是具有我国民族特色。
