上网本流行的背后可能是金融危机迫使电脑厂商改变了思维方式。史蒂夫·乔布斯曾说,苹果造不出500美元的电脑,因为“电脑不是废铜烂铁”。小型、廉价的上网本无疑在性能上逊色于传统笔记本,但对一些人而言,上网本并非废铁,甚至是他们买得起的最佳电脑。
Behind the popularity of the Internet may be that the financial crisis has forced computer makers to change the way of thinking. Steve Jobs once said that Apple can not make a 500-dollar computer because “the computer is not a scrap of iron.” Small, cheap netbooks undoubtedly outperform traditional laptops in performance, but for some, the Internet is not a scrapbook, or even the best computer they can afford.
