托尼莫里森在其众多小说中成功的刻画了大量不同身份的,不同种族的黑人形象。然而小说中鲜为出现的白人形象也是小说情节发展,主旨升华中不可忽视的一部分。本论文将以齐泽克的欲望理论来细致的分析莫里森新作《恩惠》中白人男性雅各布内心欲望的发展过程,从而使读者更加深刻的了解莫里森笔下人物丰富多彩的内心世界。
Toni Morrison succeeded in portraying a large number of black images of different races and ethnicities in many of his novels. However, the whites image appearing in the novels is also an important part of the story development and the sublimation of the novel. In this thesis, Zizek’s theory of desire will be used to carefully analyze the development of the inner desire of white men Jacobs in Morrison’s new book, “Grace,” so that readers can understand more about the rich inner world of Morrison’s characters .
