《踏歌》取材于史料当中记载的一种舞蹈样式。这种舞蹈样式产生于汉代,在唐代十分风靡,据记载当时一群少女在杨柳岸堤嬉戏打闹,连臂踏节而舞,又或在上元节的灯会上一边唱歌一边脚下打着节奏,列队及行,狂欢足舞,是一种很盛行的民间舞蹈形式。但发展到今日在田间地头已难寻其踪影。孙颖先生从古籍入手、深入文献钻研,从壁画、石刻、汉画像砖石上寻找一切可能符合《踏歌》的动作,并结合汉文化古朴质拙的风格特征,使静态的舞姿流动起来。格
