赫尔曼·奥伯特(Hermann JuliusOberth,1894～1989)是与齐奥尔科夫斯基和戈达德齐名的航天先驱,他有关火箭推进的经典著作,被整整一代工程师视为航天领域的“圣经”。他亲自从事了火箭研究和发射试验。他带领当年德国宇宙旅行协会的热心研究者进行了热火朝天的火箭升空实验,奏响了人类航天的序曲。他培养出一代火箭专家,阿波罗登月飞船运载火箭“土星5”的总设计师,大名鼎鼎的冯·布劳恩就是他当年的少年助手。赫尔曼·奥伯特虽没有戈达德那样幸运地得到援助,也没有像齐奥尔科夫斯基那样被广泛宣传,但他仍不愧为人类航天事业的一位开拓者。
Hermann Juliusberth (1894-1989) is a pioneer in spacecraft famous for Ziakovsky and Goddard. His classic works on rocket propulsion have been regarded by a whole generation of engineers as the aerospace field “Bible”. He personally engaged in rocket research and launch trials. He led enthusiastic researchers of German Space Travel Association that year conducted a rocket launching experiment in full swing and played the overture of human space. He trained a generation of rocket experts, the chief architect of the Apollo spacecraft launch vehicle “Saturn 5”, the famous von Braun was his childhood assistant. Although Hermann Oberth was fortunate enough to receive assistance from Goddard and was not widely publicized as Ziakovsky did, he still deserves to be a pioneer in the cause of human spaceflight.
