文化部组织的梅兰芳、周信芳百年诞辰纪念活动,已经分别在北京、上海两地举行完毕,已然画上了一个很“圆”的句号。梅在北方,过去主要体现为京派京剧;周在南方,过去主要体现为海派京剧。双方既有对峙的一面,也有互补的一面。现在通过纪念、缅怀并加以思索,好像京剧作为一个系统,已然朦胧间在北、南两地的京剧工作者心目中形成。但是稍加深思,又觉得还不能彻底“休息”,因为仅仅梅、周二人,还不足以“合围”成京剧整体的“圆”。任何一个复杂的事物,一方面既可以分为两个大致的“半圆”,但就在这两个“半圆”的内部,却又常常具有丰富得无法言说的内容,往往并不能由某一个人(或某一种倾向)就足以代表了的。现在,这两个“半圓”的端倪已经展现——如果认真比
