阅读是学生获取信息、开阔视野的最有效的途径之一,通过阅读可以激发学生的学习兴趣和学习动机,满足他们学习英语的成就感,同时还可以培养学生用英语交际的能力。要提高学生的阅读能力,必须不断地积累词汇,培养语感,丰富语言知识。在教学中,除了用足教材,用好教材,还要在此基础上进行课外延伸,可选一些课外阅读材料,但选择时应注意材料要有趣味性,贴近生活,难易适宜,内容尽量与教材匹配并适当加以拓展,这样便于学生巩固课本知识,提高阅读能力。
