In the past, research on the “waste capital” has been more concerned with the discussion as a literary phenomenon or literary event. Once it becomes a literary event or phenomenon, the individual factors of the author in writing are easily overlooked, replaced by the social focus and the mass interest. This paper attempts to re-interpret the “waste capital” by means of mutual evidence between literature and history and through the narration around the story to verify the coincidence between the story of “waste capital” and Jia Pingwa’s life story, which can better release the tensions of works and find those who are collectively criticized The literary power obscured by discourse helps us to understand how the disease, lawsuits, marriage changes and so on that plagued Jia Pingwa during this period become the story elements in the works, and how to restore the works’ combination of the writer’s personal interpersonal situations and the times, All "consciousness of the overall thinking.
