The link between HLA antigens and several autoimmune diseases suggests that the major histocompatibility complex (MHC) multi-gene on chromosome 6 may be linked to the pathogenesis of autoimmune diseases. In order to investigate the relationship between autoimmune diseases and Gm isotypes, we examined the relationship between myasthenia gravis and Gm isotype to demonstrate the link between immunodeficiency and immune genetic factors between Gm sites.
