民办高校教师是民办高校可持续发展的重要力量之一,在实际生活中,他们的合法权利往往得不到应有的重视和切实的保障。他们的合法权利常常受到侵犯,原因在于法律制度的缺位、权利救济方式的单一和救济程序的缺失、校内管理层中权利制衡机制的缺失、民办高校内部维权机构的虚设、财力资源的短缺和教师自身维权意识的淡薄。
Private college teachers are one of the most important forces in the sustainable development of privately-run colleges and universities. In actual life, their legal rights often fail to receive the due attention and practical protection they deserve. Their legal rights are often violated because of the absence of the legal system, the single mode of remedy of rights and the lack of remedy procedures, the lack of checks and balances in the management of the university, the illusion of the civil rights institutions in private universities, the shortage of financial resources and Teacher’s own weak awareness of rights protection.
