利用竹材修建桥梁,目前在国内外还是一个新的课题,也是就地取材修桥技术革新方向之一。南昌公路运输局1958年在改建上(高)宜(丯)铜(鼓)线珠兰坳桥时,将其中一孔试用竹材作面板,借以了解一些有关竹材的发裂、腐圬、虫蛀等问题,为今后进一步研究修建简支梁竹桥及竹桁架桥作一些准备。经初步计算,这一孔桥面可节省木料2.20公方,节约面板材料费82%。这座桥已于六月份建成通车,情况很好,兹将修建情况简要说明如次: 一、设计标准珠兰坳桥为2孔5.50公尺全长11.80公尺的石台木架水面桥,上部结构载重标准为汽-8级,采用原省公路局1954年桥梁标准图施工。由于条件限制,不能将使用的竹材作力学性能的试验,因此在作强度计算时,是以
