Xiaolangdi Water Control Project has passed the acceptance stage of storage, which indicates that Xiaolangdi reservoir began to play a regulatory role. The Xiaolangdi Multipurpose Dam Project is located at the key part of controlling the flood and sediment of the Yellow River. Flood control, flood prevention and siltation reduction are the two main tasks. Water supply, irrigation and power generation are also taken into consideration. It is a controlled project to harness and develop the Yellow River. The total investment of 34.746 billion yuan project, has completed 20.648 billion yuan.
