为提高我国公路安全保障能力,交通部自2004年起开始组织实施安保工程。至2013年,全国共投入305.9亿元用于安保工程,改造道路安全隐患路段30.65万公里(2013年为计划数,下同),其中国道5.92万公里,占国道总里程(不含高速公路,下同)的57%;省道12.19万公里,占省道总里程的42%;县道12.54万公里,占县道总里程的23%。累计投入车购税资金113.4亿元,占总投资的37%。
