One night in Taihang Branch I was editor of Taihang Branch of Xinhua News Agency in 1945. At that time, there were only two editorial subdivisions, and Taihang Xinhua Daily’s editorial together. On the night of August 10, in the large office of the newspaper editorial department (a larger main building in the landlord’s courtyard), I ordered an oil lamp made of broken bowl and distributed to the head office the next day Manuscripts. Suddenly, Comrade Yuan Bo, deputy editor-in-chief of the newspaper, came out in a panic and said: “The report made everyone good news and could not be too excited. Just recently, Command (Taihang Military Region Command) heard the radio in Chongqing and Japan surrendered. Sowing the emperor’s surrender edict, the district party committee asked us to listen to the Yan’an headquarters broadcast. ”The whole courtyard immediately boiled up.
