胡锦涛总书记在党的十六届六中全会上强调要在广大青年中培养一大批坚定的马克思主义者。近几年高校通过各种教育培训和实践锻炼方式,来武装教育高校学生,不断提高他们的思想政治素质、政策理论水平、创新能力、实践能力和组织协调能力。这对巩固和扩大党执政的青年群众基础,培养中国特色社会主义事业的建设者和接班人,对于全面建设社会主义和谐社会,都具有重大的现实意义。
At the 6th Plenary Session of the 16th CPC Central Committee, General Secretary Hu Jintao emphasized the need to train a large number of determined Marxists among the vast number of young people. In recent years, colleges and universities have armed and educated college students through various forms of education, training and practical exercises to continually improve their ideological and political qualities, their theoretical level of policy, their ability of innovation, practical ability and organization and coordination. This is of great practical significance to consolidating and expanding the mass foundation of the youth under the party’s governance and fostering the builders and successors of the cause of socialism with Chinese characteristics for building an all-round socialist harmonious society.
