In the summer of 1939, Qian received a letter of appointment from a university in Lam Tin, Hunan, and a letter from his father, Qian Jibo. Qian Jibo, director of the Department of Chinese at the university, said in his letter that he was sick and old, far away from hometown and asked Qian Zhongshu to take care of him. His father’s life can not be disowned. Qian Zhongshu wives and women, and Xu Yanmou and other friends go hand in hand, which lasted 34 days, struggling with the journey from Shanghai to Lam Tin, served as director of the Department of English.
