为了培养具有国际视野与国际交流能力的应用型人才,江苏大学率先将专业硕士学位研究生与学术硕士学位研究生英语课程分类教学,开设专业硕士ESP课程,旨在协同国际化、专业化优质教学资源,提高专业硕士研究生的英语实际应用能力。本文通过问卷调查、学生座谈、研究生导师反馈等方式对专业硕士研究生英语教学改革前后的学术英语交际能力进行分析,研究发现:学生的英语实际应用能力较之前有较大提升,学生检索和阅读专业类英文文献和资料的能力有所提高;近年来参加国际学术会议的学生人数及在国际期刊上发表高水平论文的学生人数也不断增多。本研究为日后深化硕士研究生课程改革提供了新思路。
In order to cultivate applied talents with international perspectives and international exchange ability, Jiangsu University takes the lead in classifying professional postgraduate and academic master’s degree English courses for postgraduates and offering a master’s degree ESP program aimed at coordinating international, specialized and quality teaching resources, Improve the practical masters of English practical ability. This paper analyzes the communicative competence of academic English before and after the reform of English teaching for professional postgraduates by means of questionnaire survey, student discussion and feedback from graduate supervisors. The study shows that students’ practical ability in English is greatly improved compared with before, The ability to classify English literature and information has increased; the number of students attending international academic conferences and the number of high-level papers published in international journals has also been on the rise in recent years. This study provides new ideas for deepening the reform of postgraduates in the future.
