锯谷盗成虫特征体长2.0～3.5毫米,扁平,棕褐色。前朐背板两侧各有6个锯齿(图1),所以有锯胸锯谷盗之称。栖息场地和习性可在稻谷,小麦,玉米,高粱,面粉以及仓库缝隙等处发现。锯谷盗的食性复杂,喜食破损的谷粒以及谷物碎屑及粉末,是我国重要的次食性贮粮害虫。生活周及各发育阶段的形态在30℃和相对湿度70%条件下,完成其生活周约需23天。每一雌虫一生能产卵约200粒,多的能产卵300粒。卵-产在谷粒间的缝隙内,经3一6夭后就孵化为幼虫。幼虫(图2)老熟幼虫长约4毫米,淡黄色
