南京11号是江苏省农科所用高秆大穗型“南京6号”(籼)作母本,以矮秆多蘖型“二九矮4号”(籼)作父本杂交育成的品种。株高90厘米左右,株型较紧凑,穗在顶叶之下,谷壳、稃尖秆黄色,每穗实粒100粒左右,籽粒饱满,千粒重26克左右,米质中等偏上。叶片较宽,分蘖较强,无早衰现象。在我省栽培,4月下旬播种9月上旬可以成熟,全生育期135天左右。该品种是一个感光性较弱的品种。
Nanjing No. 11 is a breed of high-stalk type “Nanjing No. 6” (indica) used as a female parent in Jiangsu Province, and dwarfed and tiller type “Dibuai No.4” (indica) as a parent breed. Plant height of about 90 cm, more compact plant type, spike in the parietal lobe, chaff, cusp stalk yellow, about 100 grains per panicle, full grain, grain weight 26 grams, the middle of the rice quality. Leaves wider, stronger tiller, no premature aging phenomenon. Cultivation in our province, sown in late April in early September can be mature, the whole growth period of about 135 days. The variety is a less sensitive variety.
