This article presents a quick (15-20 minute) method for analyzing active gold content from carbon paste (CIP) plants. This method uses energy dispersive fluorescence spectrometer controlled by sex isotope ~ (238) Pu excitation and microprocessor control, and uses the background ratio technology to correct small changes in the matrix. If the calibration standard and the sample are in the same physical state, the gold in the dry granular or ground carbon can be measured. It has been shown that due to the large differences in the composition of the matrix between the supported and eluted carbons, two calibrated koilgens must be established, one for gold concentrations below 200 μg / g and the other for gold concentrations above 200 micrograms / gram hour. The calibration curve obtained from ground carbon has a smaller (calibration point) dispersion than the calibration curve obtained from granular carbon, with a relative standard deviation of 1% for milled carbon analysis and 2% for granular carbon.
