Peruvian wild tomato is a potential insect-resistant resource whose resistance to aphids is related to the presence of glycolipids in epidermal type IV trichomes exudate. Biochemical analysis showed that the concentration of pure glucose glycol as low as 25 μg / cm ~ 2, up to 100μg / cm ~ 2, all hinder the aphid landed. Cultivated tomatoes do not have type IV trichomes and therefore do not accumulate these epidermal lipids on the surface. To breed tomatoes with the capacity to synthesize glycolipids will increase the insect resistance of these crops. The study found that hybrids of cultivated and wild tomato in Peru have type IV trichomes and are simple to inherit and are controlled by two dominant genes, none
