英国防部正在研制可能使人在路上停止不动但不会伤害他们的一种“射线”。这种武器的原型尚未建造,但是实验室对这种概念的试验表明,这种武器对维和部队或面对罪犯的警察是理想的武器。赫尔是武器的发明人。这种武器是利用紫外激光产生一束轻粒子,叫做光子。这些光子在大气中能使一条通路电离化因而能导电,就像是一条通向100米以外目标的导线。这时一股25毫安的电流以100赫兹的频率直接流向目标。
The British Ministry of Defense is developing a “ray” that may stop people from walking on the road but will not hurt them. Prototypes of such weapons have not yet been built, but tests by the laboratory on this concept have shown that such weapons are ideal weapons for peacekeeping troops or police officers facing criminals. Hull is the inventor of the weapon. This weapon is the use of ultraviolet laser to produce a bunch of light particles, called photons. These photons ionize one of the pathways in the atmosphere and thus conduct electricity, like a wire leading to a target 100 meters away. A current of 25 milliamps flows directly to the target at 100 Hz.
