There have been very few reports on the effects of radiation on developing teeth. The consequences of the effects depend on the dose of radiation and the age of the patient at the time of irradiation (and therefore also on the stage of tooth development). Such consequences may include the destruction of the tooth germ resulting in the cessation of development, the growth of the entire tooth or root, impaired calcification, premature apical closure, premature eruption, root tapering and delayed development. Case Report The patient was first seen at a regular dental clinic at the age of seven. Her history of treatment shows that she received left eye resection for left orbital sarcoma at 6 months and subsequently received head and neck radiotherapy.
