前言移动通信业务已经在大多数市场中处于饱和,而运营商要扩展其客户群变得越来越困难。另外,运营商们还面临着激烈的竞争和 ARPU 下降的窘境。为了保护其利润,移动运营商必须通过削减投资来降低成本。但是,考虑到收益下降的幅度,单纯靠削减投资并不足以维持其利润率。移动运营商必须找到新的利润点来补偿收入流失,因此如何提供除基本通信外的新服务成为当务之急。定位服务(LBS)就是这些服务中的一项。顾名思义,定位服务就是为用户提供位置信息的服务。低精度的要求其型服务一般就是找到最近的饭店,而高精度的增值服务则包括导航、车队管理和应急服务等。
Introduction Mobile communications services are already saturated in most markets, and it is becoming increasingly difficult for operators to expand their customer base. In addition, operators are also faced with the dilemma of fierce competition and ARPU decline. In order to protect their profits, mobile operators must reduce costs by cutting investment. However, taking into account the declining rate of return, simply cutting back on investment is not enough to sustain its profit margin. Mobile operators must find new profit points to compensate for lost revenue, so it is imperative to provide new services in addition to basic communications. Location Services (LBS) is one of these services. As the name suggests, positioning service is to provide users with location information services. Low-precision requirements of its type of service is usually found in the nearest restaurant, and high-precision value-added services include navigation, fleet management and emergency services.
