2000多年前,一位伟大的爱国诗人在汨罗江投江而死,用生命验证了自己忠贞爱国的理想。在岁月的长河中,他不仅为华夏子孙留下了忠贞、正直的宝贵精神,更是以《离骚》、《九章》等作品享誉中外,被评为世界四大文化名人之一。他就是我国古代伟大爱国诗人、曾任楚国左徒和三闾大夫的屈原。屈原一生伟岸正直,爱国爱民,但又忧郁不得志,因受权奸排挤而被放逐,最后含悲而死。因此他留给后人的,都是一种悲怆的情怀。多少年来,无数人满怀着感慨,踏上了曾经养育过屈原的那片土地,力求在情感的共鸣中找到一些历史的点滴。从湖北省宜昌市乘船而上,行六十里至西陵峡,峡畔右岸有一座古老的城池印入眼帘,其名曰:归洲。她就是湖北省秭归县原县城所在地。别看它只有弹丸大小,如今又因为三峡工程成为整个库区第一个被淹没的县城而被拆得七零八落,但它却有一个响亮的名字:屈原故里!
