近年来,霍山县不断加快“三化”发展,为霍山县域经济快速健康发展提供了强劲动力。2011年,实现地区生产总值102亿元,增长20.6亿元;实现财政收入超16亿元,增长32%;农民人均纯收入超5800元,增长近两成。2011年,霍山县坚持“工业强县”核心战略不动摇,全年实现规模工业总产值219亿元、增长近五成,实现利税21.3亿元;实施千万元以上重点工业项目82个,工业经济对县域经济增长贡献率达86.1%。
