表皮生长因子是一种被分泌到唾液中的多肽。这种表皮生长因子刺激上皮增殖、保护粘膜免受损伤,并且能治愈动物及人的胃和十二指肠溃疡。作者的研究证明类风湿性关节炎病人服用非类甾醇抗炎药后唾液表皮生长因子生成量减少,易发生胃溃疡。鉴于此,本文探讨了吸烟对唾液表皮生长因子的影响。观察对象是接受内窥镜检查已26个月的病人,按照检查结果将病人分成胃溃疡或十二指肠溃疡、食管溃疡或良性食管狭窄以及无上述胃肠道疾病等几类。另外统计了病人的年龄、性别、吸烟状况、用药情况和病史。有其它各种疾病而服用非类甾醇消炎药或已知影响唾液分泌的药物者除外。将柠檬酸涂到舌部刺激唾液分泌,每隔10min用吸管吸取唾液,冷冻,用放射探测器测定表皮生长因子的浓度。结果经方差分析并与t-检验比较。从336名患者获得符合要求的样本,其中
Epidermal growth factor is a polypeptide secreted into saliva. This epidermal growth factor stimulates epithelial proliferation, protects mucous membranes from damage, and can cure gastric and duodenal ulcers in animals and humans. The authors study showed that rheumatoid arthritis patients taking non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs after salivary epidermal growth factor production decreased, prone to gastric ulcer.
