用苎麻种根作无性繁殖,虽能保持种性,但繁殖速度慢。目前研究的扦插技术较多,但受季节限制,繁殖系数低等,在生产应用上还有较大的局限性。经研究苎麻侧枝的扦插技术,已获得成功。不仅在黄梅季节可以扦插成活,而且在高温伏旱的7～8月也能扦插,还可以进行异地扦插。因此,受到生产部门和种植农户的欢迎。
