以收获青果穗经蒸煮直接食用的玉米叫鲜食玉米,随着人民生活水平的提高,对鲜食玉米的需求量越来越大,特别是在城镇。因地制宜发展鲜食玉米生产,可获得较好的经济效益。鲜食玉米一般亩产鲜果穗600～1000公斤,每公斤售价1.00～1.80元,亩产值600～1000元,是收获干籽的2～4倍。据统计全省1994年发展到18.1万亩。如果在栽培和贮藏保鲜技术上能做到周年供应,种植面积还将进一步扩大。
In order to harvest the ear of corn, the corn that is eaten directly by cooking is called fresh corn. With the improvement of people’s living standards, the demand for fresh corn is getting larger and larger, especially in urban areas. According to local conditions to develop fresh corn production, get better economic benefits. Fresh corn generally yield 600-1000 kilograms per mu, price per kilogram 1.00 ~ 1.80 yuan, output value of 600 to 1,000 yuan per mu, is harvested 2 to 4 times the dry seed.
