小儿麻痹是一种由病毒引起的急性传染病。由于病毒主要侵犯人体的脊髓部份,所以又叫做髓灰质炎。这个病在我国分布的范围很广。病毒主经口传播,以幼儿发病较为多见。我国以1960年较为广泛服用糖丸疫苗后,这个病已得到有效控制,发病率明显下降。然而,最近广东省有些乡村由于服用糖丸活疫苗工作不落实,导致局部地区发生流行,还有扩散蔓延的趋势,有必要提醒人们注意预防。
