There are two options for protecting river bank stability in the United States. The first option is to create a river bank buffer along a non-degraded river bank. The second option is to conduct a buffer test along the least corroded area. An economic analysis of a river bank stability project on the Little Blue River in the United States shows that landowners are profitable for each bank protection project. The annual net present price of the 15 a project was 126-1 760 U.S. dollars and the average of 13 locations was 781 U.S. dollars. Landowners receive an additional $ 781 a year by participating in bank stability projects. The pure current price increases proportionally with annual erosion rate, which in turn is related to the area required for stability engineering. The benefits come from land prices rather than erosion control, with income derived from tillable sites other than CRP and land charges collected on the CRP.
