素质教育是我国当前教育改革的主旋律,大学英语教学作为一门语言课,是实施素质教育的一个重要组成部分。本文简要分析了大学英语教学与素质教育之间的关系,从四个方面阐述了大学英语教学的任务不仅仅要注重语言基础知识教育、文化素质教育,还应以学生为中心,发挥学生的主观能动性,设计以学生为中心的课外实践活动,从而全面提高学生的能力素质。
Quality education is the main theme of current education reform in our country. As a language course, college English teaching is an important part of implementing quality education. This article briefly analyzes the relationship between college English teaching and quality education. It elaborates that the task of college English teaching should not only pay attention to basic education of knowledge and cultural quality education, but also take the students as the center and give full play to students’ subjective Initiative, the design of student-centered extracurricular practical activities, so as to comprehensively improve the ability and quality of students.
