适宜于昆虫生命活动的溫度是25°—30℃,溫度高于或低于适宜的溫度,通常会迟延昆虫的發育或导致其死亡。省高級人民法院实驗的“高溫杀虫法”,属于物理杀虫法的范圍。实驗証明,温度控制在53°—60℃之間,連續八个小时(从溫度上升到50℃算起),就可以杀死各个發育期的昆虫,而且紙張的特性不会發生显著的变化。在进行这一工作吋,应注意不要把案卷放的太挤,以免影响溫度的滲透;并檢查火管有無裂縫漏烟、走火的情况,以防發生意外。昆虫被杀死后,但昆虫的屍体、粪便和纸屑仍留在案卷中,在清理或整理这部分档案时应注意清除。采用这种办法杀虫,必須以一笔相当数量的投資,修键或改建高溫除虫室。我們考虑每个單位修建一个既無必要,又浪費資金,因此我們意見,各地如果采用这种方法时,最好由所在地区的机关共同投资修建或改建一个高溫除虫室即可(如住在成都地区的省、市級机关,即可与省高級人民法院接洽使用(,不要普遍的盲目修建,以免浪費資金。对于这个办法,我们还缺乏經驗,在我省来說仅系开始試办,还需在实际工作中繼續进行研究。現將省高級人民法院办公室的报告印發,供各地、各机关研究試用时参考。
