曹雪芹在《红楼梦》中多处运用反讽艺术手法,以语言反讽表现人物性格,以命运反讽暗示人物结局,以情节反讽昭告小说的虚无主题。而作为生平最熟悉作者的批评家脂砚斋常常以批语的形式点醒读者,注意作者反讽笔法后的深层用意。结合脂批和英美新批评理论有助于我们深入抉示作家的叙述技巧和小说的艺术价值。
Cao Xueqin used many techniques of irony in “Dream of Red Mansions” to express his character in the form of ironic irony, suggesting the character’s ending with irony of fate, and exposing the nihility of the novel with plot irony. As the most familiar author of life, Zhi Yanzhai, a critic who often knows the author, often reminds readers in the form of comments, paying attention to the author’s deep intention after the irony of writing. The combination of fat criticism and the Anglo-American new criticism theory helps us to deeply analyze the writer’s narrative skills and the artistic value of the novel.
