信息管理与信息系统专业是我国在1998年对于大学课程调整后新增的一门大学专业。大学的专业都是对着社会劳动需求的变化而设立相关专业的,信息管理与信息系统专业其设立的背景就是在二十世纪末我国逐渐进入网络时代而出现的。信息管理与信息系统专业的学习内容主要是管理学与计算机知识,其与单纯的计算机专业有着较大的不同,因为涉及到极多的管理知识。因此,信息管理与信息系统专业属于一个综合类管理与信息技术相结合的专业。这种综合性也是的信息管理与信息系统专业的核心课程体系建设出现了一定的侧重性难题。
