我国水能资源极为丰富,占世界首位,但至1983年水电装机容量仅为2,300万千瓦。而美国现有水电装机为7,800万千瓦,仍占世界首位。巴西1960年水电装机仅480万千瓦,但近二十年来发展迅速,1982年已达到3,890万千瓦。可以看出,我国与美国、巴西比,水电建设存在相当大的差距。为了实现本世纪末全国工农业的年产总值翻两番的宏伟目标,我国水电建设至少要保持同步发展。到本世纪末,水电装机容量要达到8,000万千瓦。这是一个极为艰巨的任务。必须抓紧建设处在长江中上游、黄河上游、红水河、湖南水系、雅砻
China’s hydropower resources are extremely rich, accounting for the first in the world, but by 1983, hydropower installed capacity was only 23 million kilowatts. The United States currently has a hydropower installed capacity of 78 million kilowatts, still occupying the first place in the world. Brazil installed hydropower of only 4.8 million kilowatts in 1960, but its rapid development in the past 20 years has reached 38.9 million kilowatts in 1982. It can be seen that there is a considerable gap between our country and the United States and Brazil in the construction of hydropower. In order to achieve the grand goal of quadrupling the total annual output of industry and agriculture by the end of this century, China’s hydropower construction should at least maintain its simultaneous development. By the end of this century, hydropower installed capacity will reach 80 million kilowatts. This is an extremely difficult task. We must pay close attention to the construction of the middle and upper reaches of the Yangtze River, the upper reaches of the Yellow River, Hongshuihe, Hunan, Yalong
