语言与文化密不可分的关系决定了语言的翻译也离不开文化。英汉两个民族间的文化差异导致两种语言之间出现了词汇空缺现象、语义联想差异及语义错位现象。因此,在英语翻译教学过程中要对文化因素给予特别的关注。为了在目的语中忠实再现源语异域文化因素,翻译教学中可以采用移植法、借用法和意译法。
The inseparable relationship between language and culture determines that language translation can not be separated from culture. Cultural differences between English and Chinese peoples led to the phenomenon of word gap, difference of semantic association and semantic mismatch between the two languages. Therefore, we should give special attention to the cultural factors in English translation teaching. In order to faithfully reproduce the source culture in the target language, translation, borrowing and free translation can be applied in the teaching of translation.
