为进一步做好服刑、在教人员的思想转化工作,使他们能真心改造、痛改前非,2003年8月,天津市河西区司法局、区安置帮教工作办公室在全区开展了一次特殊的“爱在延伸”活动,即看望生活困难的服刑、在教人员家属,为服刑、在教人员送去一封信的延伸帮教活动。活动开展后,收到了很好的帮教效果。许多服刑、在教人员深受感动,有的将信给同室的人传阅,有的将信给管教人员看,有的被信中字字句句感动得热泪盈眶,彻夜难眠。他们纷纷写来回信,向帮教组织告知他们在监、所中的改造情况,表达对政府、对社会关爱的感激之情。

Some are moved by tears in their eyes and sleepless nights. They wrote letters and sent letters to help groups to inform them of their supervision and their transformation and to express their gratitude to the government and their love for the community.
