近年来我县玉米粗缩病(Maize roughdwarf virus)严重。1992年夏玉米发病7万亩,其中以套种玉米发生最重。一般病株率2.5％,严重地块病株占30.7％;直播夏玉米发病株率为0.5％,最高5％。发病程度在品种间差异很大,以改良掖单2号(新2号)最重,平均夏套种的病株率为15％,发病最重的病株率占48％。1993年5月,春玉米田也已发现病株。玉米粗缩病在苗期叶色深,生长健壮,与健苗高度一样,间苗时往往误留,玉米拔节期植株开始矮化,叶色黑绿,茎秆粗壮,
