Meniere’s disease (MD) occurs because of changes in the chemical composition of the endolymph due to increased endolymphatic pressure or prolapse of the Reissner’s membrane. Early studies of the extensive degeneration of hair cells, neurons, and stromal cells in MD have led to neglect of attention to the stereocilia structure. The authors observed the ultrastructure of the endolymphatic sac when MD occurred. Electron microscope shows the outer semicircular canal within the linear arrangement of the endothelium
