According to the North Sky Institute (NSR), satellite broadband subscribers in North America accounted for 83% of the world’s total in 2007 and 10% and 7% respectively in Asia and other parts of the world. As of April 2008, WildBlue Communications has been the sole provider of Ka-band services in the United States.
