2006年12月底,在长沙结束了“世界乒乓球总冠军赛”后,刘国梁带领中国乒乓球男队一行来到了海南三亚,上了一堂2007年萨格勒布世乒赛前有关素质教育和军训的综合课。2007年1月初,当中国男队在北京开始冬训的时候,刘国梁又飞赴厦门,参加了2007年全国乒乓球工作会议。在这个北京奥运会前极为重要的战略会议上,刘国梁谈到了所有关心乒乓球运动发展的人最为关注的几个重要问题:关于北京奥运会男队阵容的形成.六名重点队员的现状,北京奥运会之前世界乒坛的现状和中国队备战北京奥运会的措施与构想。
At the end of December 2006, after Changsha ended “World Table Tennis Championships”, Liu Guoliang led the Chinese table tennis men’s team and his party to Sanya, Hainan Province, to attend a quality education and training program before the 2007 World Championship in Zagreb Military training courses. In early January 2007, when the Chinese men’s team started their winter training in Beijing, Liu Guoliang flew to Xiamen to participate in the 2007 National Table Tennis Conference. Liu Guoliang talked about a few important issues of most concern to those who care about the development of table tennis at this extremely important strategy conference held before the Beijing Olympics: the formation of the men’s team lineup for the Beijing Olympic Games, the current situation of the six key players, the pre-Beijing Olympic Games Status Quo of World Table Tennis Championships and the Measures and Conceptions for Chinese Team to Prepare for Beijing Olympic Games.
