(S14.1) In order to correctly evaluate the physical characteristics of oil-bearing areas, one of the difficult problems for exploration workers is to correctly interpret the ground-based seismic data. For this purpose, observations of the superimposed seismic section of the CDP are usually made and, if possible, observations can be made in conjunction with log data. Often, the information on amplitude and seismic response as a function of offset is negligible, mainly because the information can not be used directly for geological or physical interpretation. In fact it is impossible to correctly solve the problem, unless the geophysicist can get the real problem of elasticity
