武陵山片区的苗族银饰种类繁多,图案丰富,以其奇美的造型备受人们的喜爱,但随着时代的发展和人们生活观念的改变,适合苗族银饰生存的土壤日趋减少,为此,必须要加强苗族银饰的生产性保护来实现其文化产业开发的途径才能更好地重塑武陵山片区苗族银饰的经典形式,让苗族银饰传统的核心技艺永远体现在银饰产品中。
