X-ray spectrometry has been successfully applied to the determination of precious metals in industrial products. The accuracy and reproducibility of the analysis is no less than the chemical method. However, due to the low sensitivity of this method (Cnp Au = 0.005%, Cnp Ag = 0.01%) various preconcentration methods are used in the microanalysis.
