众所周知,过去的北京京剧团有马谭张裘四大 头牌,从而形成了自己的号召力。“文革”后,这个剧团为保持原有传统,又挂出了四大头牌,谭元寿、马长礼接替谭富英,马连良自不待言,而张君秋先生的接班人却是戏校毕业的青年演员杨淑蕊。论资历,她差得很多,但张先生情愿,广大观众认可,从北京唱到香港,“小张君秋”的名字就叫开了。这是前辈的提携,观众的厚爱,不过对杨淑蕊来说也是来之不易,实至名归。
