“粤蔗三号”是前华南农科所(广东省农科院前身)于1956年用“台糖108”与“台糖134”杂交选育而成。原编号为“华南56/12”,1964年经全省甘蔗良种鉴定会议确认为推广良种之一,定名为“粤蔗三号”。近年来,海丰、澄海等地在大面积生产中,增产效果显著,群众反映好。一、“粤蔗三号”的增产效果 1.“粤蔗三号”试验示范情况 1958、1959年,在湛江遂溪高旱地一年新植和一年宿根的试验结果:“粤蔗三号”亩产蔗量11025～17248斤,比“台糖134”亩产7117～14816斤增产16.41～54.9％;亩含糖量1738～2425斤,比“台糖134”亩含糖1172～1877斤增产29.19～48.23％。1962年湛江地区城月大队及新桥大队表证结果:
